We live in dark times. One cannot turn a corner, walk at night, or visit strange and familiar places alike without worry about some danger. We live in unloving times. People lie, cheat, and steal; and not only material things, but personal thinks as well. We mock and deny forgiveness, yet we are dying to receive it. We search for a candle in the blackness, though so often we snuff it out. Thankfully, we have not been left alone.
For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the son He loves, in whom we have redemption and the forgiveness of sins.
~ Colossians 1:13-14 ~
I sympathize with those who feel alone in this world, lost in the darkness and left without love. Yet God has not left us alone, He has rescued us! He has forgiven, He has rescued us. He is love. To those who do not yet believe: stop wandering in the blackness without a candle. God’s salvation has already come, the room has been lit with His love. All you have to do is open the door to your heart and let His Light flood over you. The blackness of your soul has been forgiven, and this world no longer has any power over you. There is no longer a need to fear this world. Christ has rescued you and me, we have been redeemed.
