Sharing His Blessings

I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith so that you will have a full understanding for every good thing we have in Christ.

~ Philemon 1:6 ~

It would be an understatement to say that sharing out faith is only a part of our walk with Christ. In truth, sharing Christ’s message of salvation should be in every action that we do. Sadly, very few people actually live this way, myself included on that list. Paul pleads that Philemon be active in sharing his faith, and why? So that he may have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ. I do not fully understand everything God has given me, especially the blessings, and why He has given them to me. But what I share my faith, I get a glimpse of those blessings. When we share our faith, first we get a viewing of where our lives used to be and where they are now. Maybe they even give us a slap upside the head because we have stumbled a bit. Yet we also see lives being turned around, hope restored, and love abounding in people’s lives. It is truly incredible, and is just as much if not more wonderful than what has happened in our own lives. However, if we do not share our faith, then what shall we reap? Nothing. Will we fully understand or appreciate the blessings that we have in Christ? We will not. I encourage my fellow Christians to share their faith in their actions and words. The benefits may not be seen immediately, but then again our reward is a heavenly one, not an earthly one. On the other hand, we will certainly not see any reward or see any lives being changed if we do not take the first step to share our faith.
