During this Thanksgiving season, we remember that during times of plenty or times of scarcity, during trials or peace, our hope is in the Lord.

While I’ve known about this hymn for many years, there was a lot about the history of this hymn that I didn’t know before writing this post. And I’m so glad I know it now! There is an added richness to the text once you know where it came from and the journey it has taken. I hope you enjoy the history as much as I have!
