Success on Your Terms

I’ve been reading through the book Business Boutique recently, and I’ve gained a lot of insight from it. This particular chapter isn’t for me at my current stage, but this line stood out to me. This story was about a woman who grew her business to something hugely successful in monetary terms, but it took her away from her family, so she scaled it back. Some might say this was wrong, but it was right for her.

Success looks like different things to different people, and that’s ok. For me, that’s sharing what I love and think will be engaging and encouraging to others in my writing. For you, that might be something different. Maybe it looks like making enough to replace your day job; maybe it’s a hobby that you do just for the fun of it. The key is knowing what you’re aiming for and working on getting there.

I found the sentence in the above photo reassuring that I can go at my own pace. Moreover, I was encouraged to grow beyond what I can see right now if that’s what I want to do. The point is, my success will be on my terms and not someone else’s. The same is true for you! What goals are you trying to reach, and where do you see them leading you?

Blessings to you and yours,

~Madelyn Rose Craig
