Have you ever been to a surprise birthday party? One where all the guests know what is going to happen, except for the birthday child? Everyone has been there waiting, they have prepared for the day, everything is in place, except one thing is missing – the birthday child! So then everyone waits for that special person to walk through the door, and at the very moment they do, everyone jumps up and shouts, welcoming the last guest! It is really quite exciting, and the rejoicing in celebration for that person is so special. In the same way, it is like when a lost soul finds its way home. And when they arrive, there is even greater rejoicing. Already, God has called many who are home now, but there are still so many who are lost. This story was just for the celebration of someone’s birth, how much greater rejoicing when they come to their rebirth in the celebration of Christ!

I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over nighty-nine righteous people who do not need to repent.

Although there are so many who are already a part of the Kingdom, that does not diminish the joy when another is added to that number. To those who haven’t realized their salvation: embrace your forgiveness! As someone who has already become a part of Christ’s Kingdom, I can honestly say that it is the most incredible gift ever to be given or received. Do not let that go to waste. There is a whole host of heavenly beings waiting to celebrate your new birth. And there are so many brothers and sisters waiting to welcome you into the family, not to forget the Father with His arms open and waiting for you. You are that special person we are waiting to celebrate. All you have to do is open that door and walk in.
